Education:

B.S. Interdisciplinary Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Minors: Anthropology, Spanish from Purdue University. Currently pursuing M.S. degree in Atmospheric Sciences at Howard University.

Research:

Shadya is currently working with the sociology department towards a more effective means to communicate severe weather information to the public. Her current project looks into demographics and protective actions with tornadoes.
