Biography

With roots in Kenya, Florida, and Texas, Dr. White has interests in multi-scale land-atmosphere interactions in diverse environments. Dr. White has also coordinated the JSU CAREERS Weather Camp for high school students, for the last several years.

 

Current Research

Applications of mobile observing platforms to sea breeze, frontal structures, and microclimate.  Surface flux measurements over inland water bodies.

Mesonet observing systems, Biosphere-atmosphere interactions, Numerical modeling, Synoptic meteorology, Geographic information systems (GIS), Monsoons, Nocturnal warming
