Education: B.S degree in Biochemistry, University of Uyo, Nigeria; M.S degree in Analytical Chemistry, University of Abuja, Nigeria. She earned the PhD degree in the department of Chemistry, Howard University.

Research: Her primary research area is in atmospheric chemistry, and her dissertation is titled: “Physical / Chemical Characterization of Transatlantic Airborne Saharan Dust during the Aerosol and Ocean Science Expeditions (AEROSE)”. Her research work focuses on characterizing the seasonal distribution and physicochemical processes governing the evolution of African aerosol outbreaks over the North Atlantic Ocean. Other research interests include ocean-atmosphere interactions, air pollution, and aerosol modeling.

Activities: As a research student, she is part of a team of dedicated researchers headed by Dr. Vernon Morris of the NOAA Center for Atmospheric Sciences at Howard University.
